The coursebook Czech Step by Step 2 is the second volume of the popular coursebook New Czech Step by Step/Tschechisch Schritt fur Schritt. It contains, in 20 units, a review of grammatical areas which were presented in the previous volume and also significantly expands students' vocabulary and deepens their communicative competence. This coursebook systematically develops all four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing. Introductory texts focus on interesting topics relating to all areas of people's lives, while the closing section of each unit, called Everyday Czech, introduces daily life in the Czech Republic. After finishing the coursebook the students will have reached level B1 according to the official descriptions of the threshold levels - Czech as a foreign language. All of the text, including the explanation of grammatical features is in Czech. Included with the book are a Czech-English-German-Russian glossary, the Czech Grammar in a Nutshell 2 booklet and two audio CDs.
