Čeština expres 2 (level A1/2) is a reworked and expanded edition of the popular coursebook Czech Express 2. Its publication forms the second part of basic course in "Survival Czech". The new form of the text book accommodates the requirements of the Common European reference framework and is intended for beginners who want to reach the A1 language level quickly. In seven practically focused lessons Czech learners can learn to orient themselves and react in basic communication situations (e.g. the topics of Houses and flats, At the doctor's, Visiting, Looking for work etc.). The textbook concentrates on mastering communication skills, mainly speaking and listening. Czech grammar is simplified as far as possible and the student discovers it for themselves through texts and overview tables. Czech Express 2 is composed of a monolingual textbook with text written in Czech and included a new and revised workbook, plus a Supplement with vocabulary, grammatical tables and explanations which helps the learner to get to know Czech in their first language (published in English, German and Russian versions, and we are preparing versions in other languages). The text in the textbook is complemented by a quantity of color photographs and original illustrations including the popular cartoons. The set also includes an audio CD.
